Danny is 14 and has alopecia. He tells us how it affects his life at school...
"When my hair first started falling out, it was in patches, so I had bald patches all over my head. I used to hate having to go to school because I was scared of what everyone would say. The boys said some horrible things and the girls felt sorry for me.
When all of my hair fell out, the other children all thought I had cancer. They wouldn't sit with me at lunch and would just point and whisper. Luckily, I'm a very fast runner, so I started winning in games class. People started liking me more and I feel more confident now. I do have friends, I just wish I had my hair back..."
