Often cited as one of the most iconic half-marathons in the world, and deservedly so. From Newcastle to South Shields the course is a definite must for runners of all types!
Starting in the heart of Newcastle on Sunday 16th September 2012, you’ll wind your way over the Tyne Bridge, through Gateshead, South Tyneside and end up in South Shields. Ideal for anyone who is up for a challenge, or has done a 10K and is looking for the next step in big running events, the Great North Run continues to be one of biggest and best running events in the UK.
