Walk for Skin in Fife
A spellbinding mix of rugged natural beauty and Scottish charm. Welcome to our Scottish Walk for Skin!
If the beauty of the Fife Coastal Path sounds appealing, you may well think about joining us as we do the Walk for Skin on the 13th June 2010.
So I hear it’s going to be a pretty walk? We’re certainly excited about the Walk for Skin in Fife; it’s shaping up to be fairly spectacular. The walk is set amongst some of the most breathtaking views of the Fife region, so it’s certainly going to be worth coming along to. Even if the weather turns a bit sour, in many ways this is no bad thing, you’ll see the beautiful coastline in its most natural setting. Bring your camera that’s for sure.
Where does the walk take me?
The walk starts at 12pm under the shadow of the famous Forth Bridge before heading northwards along the breath-taking coastline to Inverkeithing, past Dalgety Bay before finishing at the harbour at Aberdour. From there a FREE ferry will take all walk participants south towards the final finishing point at North Queensferry jetty, passing the beautiful isle of Inchcolm along the way. If you like adventure, this may well be your cup of tea.
Sounds like it could be a bit of an epic…
That’s kind of the point. The walk is eight miles in length, so you’ll need some comfy walking shoes. It’s definitely more challenging than most of our other walks this year, but given the location, we wanted to do something extra special for our Scottish walk in 2010.
Anything else?
Well the ferry back to North Queensferry normally costs money, but Walk for Skin participants get to rest their tired legs for FREE. What’s more, a family ticket for the Walk is a mere £10. Can't ask for too much more than that can you?
Well…Fine fine, we’ll even throw in FREE t-shirts for all our walkers. The only thing you need to do is register online or by post. Have a look to the right for full details, but a family ticket is £10; otherwise it’s £5 for adults and £3 for children. We’ll send you a fundraising pack through the post, which means the only thing you need to worry about is getting there on the day in time for 12pm, the walk leaves at midday sharp! Don’t be late!
