We’re looking for volunteers across the UK to help paint their town blue with BSF collection tins to help raise £5000 over the course of 2011.
Volunteers need to give up just an hour of their time (or however much you can spare) to help raise funds that will go straight into skin cancer and skin disease research. Typically, a small research project can cost as little as £1000, so reaching the £5000 target would make a big difference in terms of what can be funded in following years.
You’ll have the inside knowledge as to where would be best to do a collection, whether it’s outside the local supermarket or the cinema (just make sure you get permission first!), so please get in touch if you’d like to help. Over the last four years, the BSF have funded over £2.7 million pounds worth of research projects, thanks to the efforts of supporters like you.

Research is extremely expensive, so even the smallest of donations goes a long way to making to a big difference. All those unwanted coppers and five pence pieces really do add up, so we’re hoping to increase the number of BSF collection tins out on Britain’s streets. We’ll send you everything you need to get started, from collection tins to leaflets and booklets.
All you need to do is collect for us and send us the money!
To volunteer for the scheme please email kelly@britishskinfoundation.org.uk or call 0207 391 6088.
