The British Skin Foundation invites applications for funding of the above projects between April and August of each year. Each application is examined by the Foundation's Grants Advisory Committee which consists of fourteen dermatologists and medical research specialists. Each application is also sent to two external referees for review, the proposed project being matched to the referee's field of expertise.

A decision on which projects will receive support is made at a final meeting of the committee in early November.

BSF Small Grant

The British Skin Foundation invites applications for small grant funding between January and April every year. Each application is examined by the Foundation's Grants Advisory Committee which consists of two medical BSF representatives and four other dermatologists

A decision on which projects will receive support is made at a final meeting of the committee in early July.
