Our Appeals

The British Skin Foundation Skin Cancer Appeal and Children's Fund have been set up in response to requests from supporters who would like to direct their donation towards a particular area of research. As well as wishes of our donors we have also considered the large number of requests for funding received each year from institutions looking to carry out research into these distressing conditions.

The appeals are already proving successful. We've already awarded the first research award made from funds raised directly through the Skin Cancer Appeal and more are coming soon. Although the BSF Children's Fund launched in January 2010, the money raised will go directly into essential research looking into skin diseases that affect children.

All monies raised from a previous appeal, the BSF Childhood Eczema Appeal, will continue to go towards supporting high quality research into eczema.
