Vasana is 17 and has lived with acne for the last four years.  She tells us how it affects her life...

"I have large red and pus-filled spots all over my face, back and chest.  I'm only 17 and should be enjoying life like the other girls at my college, going out to parties, talking to boys, that kind of thing. It's quite tough because I'm really self conscious about the way I look. I've even given up trying to dress up nicely when I go out.

I make sure that I cover up my shoulders, chest and back and use make up to try and hide the way my face looks - but nothing seems to work. I can't bring myself to talk to people sometimes because I just feel too ugly.

I'm starting University next year and I wish I had more confidence.  I'm hoping that by then, my spots will clear up and I'll be able to live my life like everyone else does."
