Skin Cancer Appeal
200 new cases of skin cancer are diagnosed every day in the UK, and melanoma is rising faster than any other type of deadly cancer. In as many as 4 out of 5 cases, skin cancer is a preventable disease.
In response to these alarming statistics and requests from our supporters and the resrarch community we have set up the British Skin Foundation Skin Cancer Appeal. The support the Appeal has received so far from members of the public and our corporate partners has enabled us to fund a promising research project at the University of London. The work looks at squamous cell carcinoma and a lay description is available through this website or on request from the BSF office.
The Skin Cancer Appeal needs your continued support. If you would like to make a donation via the web please go to the Appeal's justgiving page. Or you can send a cheque made payable to the 'British Skin Foundation' including a note letting us know that you would like your donation to go to the Appeal. If you would like further details about the Appeal and ways in which you can help please contact us at the BSF office.
