Well done St George's University, London!

St George’s University London has raised an outstanding £3,318 for skin disease and skin cancer research after a year of fundraising activities in the first ever Battle of the DermSocs (BOTDS).

The BOTDS was created by dermatology students Ewa Kloczko and Sukhjit Dhariwal as a way to raise money for the British Skin Foundation by challenging the dermatological societies across the country to compete against each other for top dermatology-themed prizes.

British Skin Foundation’s Fundraising Manager, Kelly Taylor says,

We’d like to thank all of the dermatological societies that took part this year with big congratulations going to St George’s University in London. The money raised will go towards finding cures and treatments for all types of skin diseases – from killers like malignant melanoma to chronic conditions like acne, eczema and psoriasis.

In total £5,323.36 was raised altogether by six different dermatological societies across the UK.

Further accolades include:

Most Creative Award – University of Cambridge DermSoc

Best Media Presence – Barts and the London School of Medicine DermSoc
