Proudly Supported by Schuco

Calling all junior doctors and medical students! Do you have what it takes to be crowned Battle of the DermSocs Champions?

Show off your leadership and management skills against rival DermSocs whilst raising money for the British Skin Foundation – the UK’s only charity supporting research into skin cancer and all skin disease.

The initiators of this competition, Sukhjit Dhariwal and Ewa Kloczko are hoping that all DermSocs sign up and get involved with competition this year to support dermatological research.

The pair explain “We created Battle of the DermSocs as a platform for medical students to show that every little fundraising contribution counts! Last year teams taking part in BOTDS raised over £5,000 for vital skin disease research. All you need is good intentions and a bit of courage!"

How to Enter

To enter BOTDS 2019/2020 all you need to do is create your team's bespoke BSF fundraising page.

Please ensure you select BOTDS 2019-2020 under 'Which appeal would you like to fundraise for?'

Remember, this is a competition! Make sure your page stands out from the rest! We (and competing teams) would love to see how you are getting on so remember to frequently add updates, photos, and videos.

Giulia Rinaldi, President of St George's DermSoc and the first Battle of the DermSocs champions had this to say about the society's involvement in BOTDS 2018/19...

"As a newly formed DermSoc at St. George’s what we enjoyed the most was the drive it created for us to work together as a team and generate innovative university events. Importantly, it helped us develop management and financial skills that are essential to run a small business and deliver profitable events.

BOTDS is an amazing initiative that allows DermSocs to contribute to charity and make a true impact to the world of dermatology and research. We cannot recommend participation enough, even a tiny donation can make a huge difference."
