Battle of the DermSocs
Battle of the DermSocs (BOTDS) is a British Skin Foundation fundraising initiative.
Dermatology societies across the UK work throughout the academic year to raise funds for skin disease research.
BOTDS 2025/26
Have fun showing off your leadership and management skills against rival DermSocs, whilst raising money for the British Skin Foundation – the UK’s only charity supporting research into skin cancer and all types of skin disease.
But BOTDS isn’t just about raising funds; it's an opportunity to develop skills, learn, and educate others.

How to enter
To enter BOTDS 2025/26, all you need to do is complete the following two-step process.
- Create your team's bespoke BSF fundraising page.
Remember, this is a competition! Make sure your page stands out from the rest! We (and competing teams) would love to see how you are getting on so remember to frequently add updates, photos, and videos.
2. Get in touch with events@britishskinfoundation.org.uk and provide the following information:
- Name of DermSoc
- Number of committee members in your society taking part in BOTDS 25/26
- Name, email and mobile number of main contact
Prize categories
We have three prize awards up for grabs
1. Battle of the DermSocs 2025/26 Champions: Awarded to the team that raises the most money.
2. Best Media Presence: Awarded to the team that most impressively and creatively uses social media and their fundraising page to generate support and awareness of their activities and the work of the British Skin Foundation.
3. Education and Teaching Award: This will be presented to the team that educates their peers and/or the public on skin issues/skin health in the most impactful way.
BOTDS rules
As with any competition, there are a few rules (only a few we promise) to follow.
- To enter you need to create your BOTDS 2025/26 team fundraising page through Enthuse. Fundraising pages created on alternative platforms will not be accepted.
- Provide the BSF team with your society's information
- The competition will run from Monday 1st December 2025 - midnight Friday 19th June 2026.
- During this time your aim is to raise as much money for the British Skin Foundation as possible.
- All funds you raise are exclusively for the British Skin Foundation.
- Funds raised after Friday 19th June 2026 will not be counted towards your final total, but we will happily accept them.
- You are free to raise funds whichever way you wish; nothing is off-limits, as long as it is legal!
- There is no minimum or maximum number of people permitted per team; however, in the spirit of competition, all team members should be part of a DermSoc committee. If your team receives external assistance and wins a category, only DermSoc committee members will be awarded prizes.
