Medical students and junior doctors do you have what it takes to be crowned Battle of the DermSocs Champions 2022/23!? 

Have fun showing off your leadership and management skills against rival DermSocs, whilst raising money for the British Skin Foundation – the UK’s only charity supporting research into skin cancer and all types of skin disease. 

BOTDS 2022/23 opens on Monday 3rd October 2022 and the British Skin Foundation team and the BOTDS committee are hoping that this year will see all DermSocs across the UK sign up and get involved with competition to support the future of UK dermatology and help to improve the lives of skin disease and skin cancer patients. 

How to Enter 

To enter BOTDS 2022/2023 all you need to do is complete the following two-step process.  

1. Create your team's bespoke BSF fundraising page. 

Remember, this is a competition! Make sure your page stands out from the rest! We (and competing teams) would love to see how you are getting on so remember to frequently add updates, photos, and videos.  

2.  Complete your DermSoc members registration form  

Complete the 'BOTDS 22/23 DermSoc Members Registration Form' with details of all committee members. This is so all committee members can be contacted by their mentor, who will be assigned to them upon registration. In addition, we will use this information to create certificates for winning teams.  

Prize Categories  

To make things a little more interesting we have three different prize categories up for grabs. 

- Battle of the DermSocs Champions: Awarded to the team who raises the most money  

- Most Creative: Awarded to the team who organise, and raise money from, the most creative activity  

- Best Media Presence: Awarded to the team who most impressively and creatively use social media and their fundraising page.

Competition Rules  

• To enter you need to create your BOTDS 2022/23 BSF fundraising page through Enthuse and complete the DermSoc members registration form. Fundraising pages created on alternative platforms will not be accepted. 
• The competition will run from Monday 3rd October - midnight Friday 16th June. 

• During this time your aim is to raise as much money for the British Skin Foundation as possible. 

• All funds you raise are exclusively for the British Skin Foundation  

• Funds raised before Monday 3rd October 2022 or after Friday 16th June 2023 will not be counted towards your final total.  

• You are free to raise funds whichever way you wish, nothing is off-limits, as long as it is legal!  

• When you hold an activity, you need to update your fundraising page with the amount you raised through said activity within 10 working days of it taking place.  

• There is no minimum or maximum number of people permitted per team, however, in the spirit of competition all team members should belong to a DermSoc. If your team receives external assistance and wins a category only DermSoc members will be awarded a prize and certificates.
